Ryan M. Palmer, CFP®

Advisor

Ryan is co-founder and a lead planner for Optimist Retirement Group. He is a graduate of the University of Washington School of Business, and began his financial planning career in 1998. Ryan also earned the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ Certification in 2004. Having originally worked in a commission based, product oriented environment, Ryan quickly learned that clients are better served when they work with a planning-focused advisor in a client-centered, fiduciary model. It was at that time that he partnered with Graham Williams to form what is now Optimist Retirement Group.

As an advisor, Ryan uses an objective, rational process to help clients define and prioritize their financial goals and dreams, as well as create a roadmap to help them accomplish those objectives. That process emphasizes simplicity, transparency, and cost effectiveness. He is passionate about stripping away the confusion and uncertainty that surrounds many peoples’ plans for retirement and offering clarity and confidence in a strategy designed exclusively for them.

Ryan lives in Newcastle, Washington with his wife Tina and two kids, Jack and Kate. He is an active member of the Bellevue Rotary Club, and enjoys camping, curling (yes, the kind with brooms!), and Husky football.
